What you'll do:
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise to provide advice on missing person issues and liaise with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Promote multi‑agency missing person protocols to internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to build strong relationships, address root causes of missing episodes, problem‑solve to reduce repeat cases, and implement safeguarding strategies, recognising links to exploitation and ensuring records and referrals are completed.
  • Work with police and national partners to share risk and vulnerability information, support missing person risk assessments, and challenge ineffective practices.
  • Analyse repeat missing person reports and collaborate with agencies to recommend interventions, present findings at multi‑agency meetings, and identify opportunities for prevention, safeguarding, and best practice improvement.
  • Apply understanding of confidentiality, Data Protection and Freedom of Information issues, and successfully complete and undertake further training to achieve Professional Investigation Programme (PIP) level 1 accreditation.
  • Interpret and apply guidance to specific activities, committing to continuous improvement with evidence of impact, and skillfully identify areas for enhancement within the business.

  • Experience of working in a multi‑agency environment.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands, maintain strong organisational skills, and critically analyse data to conduct audits and reviews.
  • Experience of safeguarding and knowledge of related legislation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
Salary & Benefits:

£30,276 - £32,613
