Job description

Overview

Our client is a multi‑award winning engineering firm that has numerous projects. The company is expanding year on year and winning new projects on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Welding and Plating Foreman on site.
• MIG welding of structural steel to x‑ray/UT or coded standards.
• Average hours 45–50 per week, with a basic 40‑hour week.

Pay

• £15.10 per hour.
• Overtime at time & half.
• Additional £15 paid for each 5 hours of overtime per week.

Requirements

• Time‑served welder, with welding experience within a structural steel background.
• Weld test consisting of butt weld with stop/start in root run and multi‑pass fillet weld on a 100 × 100 box unit at 45°.
• Must not be relocated for this role.
