About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Midwife to join Harrogate Maternity Unit. We are incredibly proud of our maternity service and offer a high level of support to our midwives. We have a high level of staff satisfaction and a small, friendly and welcoming team.

Role Overview

Harrogate is a high performing maternity unit and we are seeking highly motivated individuals to contribute and develop the delivery of high quality, evidence-based midwifery. This post includes rotational opportunities throughout the maternity service including inpatient areas and community, which will be discussed with candidates at interview. We actively support you to develop and enhance your skills in all aspects of midwifery. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of the national agenda within maternity and a clear commitment to helping the trust achieve this.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to pregnant women and support for their families throughout pregnancy and birth continuum.
  • Deliver care to pregnant women from Harrogate and surrounding area including women who choose to deliver at Harrogate from Leeds, York and Ilkley.
  • Work a range of hours and cover on-call duties. Flexible working agreements are available from employment.
Qualifications
  • Band 6 Midwife with an NMC PIN. OSCE training is not available.
