Prospero Teaching is seeking passionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEN across Middlesbrough in an inspirational school. You will assist in 1:1 settings and small groups, helping pupils access learning and achieve progress across a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, PMLD and SEMH.

The role is full-time with an ASAP start, contracted until July 2027. You should have a relevant qualification or experience, be eligible to work in the UK, and ready to undergo a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in UK schools.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one.
• Provide two professional child-related references from the last two years.

Responsabilités

Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational SEN Schools across Middlesbrough to start ASAP on a full-time basis. • The role is based in an inspirational SEN School across Middlesbrough.
• The School supports pupils across the 2-19 age range and there are opportunities to support pupils across all Primary and Secondary School year groups depending on your preference and specialism.

Pay, Hours and Contract:

• Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2027. Temporary Contract.

About the Role:

• The role will involve supporting pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• The School supports pupils with a range of SEN such as varying levels of ASD, ADHD, PMLD, MLD and SEMH
• Additionally, some pupils may be none-verbal and some may require Personal Care so a willingness to support pupils in these contexts is key.
• A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
• Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK
• An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
• A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
