Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Nursery Manager to support pupils in a Middlesborough-based Nursery/Primary School on a full-time basis. The role involves helping pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour, delivering intervention sessions to small groups, and working with Class Teachers to tailor learning experiences.

You will also cover breaktimes and lunchtimes and supervise staff to maintain a supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with varied SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD) in UK schools.
• Ability to deliver intervention sessions to small groups.
• Adaptability to different learning needs and styles, in collaboration with Class Teachers.

Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Nursery/ Primary Schools near Middlesborough on a full-time basis. About the Role:

• The role will involve supporting pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The different types of SEN that pupils have may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and PMLD.
• The role will also involve delivering intervention sessions to small groups of pupils to boost their understanding and progress
• A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.
• The role will also involve supporting across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.
• Management of staff and children, overseeing staff while on shift.

About the School:

The role is based in an inspirational Nursery/Primary School in Middlesborough. There are opportunities to support children from 2-5 years old. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.

Pay, Hours and Contract:

• Pay - Between £88-110 per day
• Hours - 08.30-15:30
• Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2027. Temporary Contract.
• Start Date - 2nd November
• Location - Middlesborough

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
• Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK
• An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
• A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references that cover the last two years
