The Woodlands School is seeking a dedicated Midday Care Assistant for the Galley Hill Campus in Milton Keynes. The role focuses on supervising pupils during lunch, helping them prepare meals, and ensuring their safety in both indoor and outdoor areas during and after lunch.
Term-time only; 12:00–13:30, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours weekly. Applicants should communicate clearly, be reliable, and align with safeguarding policies. DBS disclosure required; open until filled.

The Woodlands School is a specialist provision for children and young people with Autism and/or Social Communication Difficulties.
It is essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate clearly to children and young people in a calm and respectful manner, engage with the pupils, be reliable and trustworthy and work within the school’s policies, including safeguarding and child protection.
You will be responsible for the safety and well-being of the children at lunch time. The role requires care for pupils, helping them to prepare for mealtime, accessing a suitable meal and cleaning up afterwards, supervision of pupils using both the indoor and outdoor play areas after lunch.
Enthusiasm is a requirement for this post, as is a genuine empathy with children and young people. The ability to be flexible, innovative and reliable is highly desirable. The Woodlands School has a successful record of staff development and training including knowledge and understanding of autism for all staff.
School visits are encouraged.
