Job summary

Shepwell School is seeking a motivated Lunchtime Supervisor based at Shepwell Satellite at Ormiston Shelfield Academy. This role involves supervising pupils during lunchtime, assisting with lunch collection, and maintaining hygiene standards. A full enhanced DBS clearance is required before starting.

The position is 5 hours over 5 days (1 hour daily) with duties including safeguarding, interaction with secondary pupils, and liaising with senior staff. Salary is Grade G1, approximately £5,358.

Qualifications

• Confidence around young people.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to interact positively with pupils.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• DBS clearance is required.
• Must be able to give clear instructions and ensure pupil safety.
• Previous experience in a school setting is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Young people during midday meals.
• Arrange collection of lunches, assist pupils as needed.
• Be aware of safeguarding requirements.
• Interact confidently with secondary aged pupils.
• Promote good behaviour and uphold school standards.
• Report concerns to school staff as needed.
• Liaise with Heads of year and senior team when required.
• Ensure areas used to eat are cleaned and items returned to the kitchen.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Lunchtime Supervisor to join our wonderful team and be an additional asset to our school. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our team to assist students to collect lunches, supervise during lunchtime, clean areas and return trays etc to kitchen area. If you have a passion for providing high-quality service and maintaining high hygiene standards, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Young people during midday meals
• Arrange to collection of lunches, supporting students who are confident to assist.
• Be aware of child protection and safeguarding requirements
• Have experience with secondary aged pupils and be able to interact with them confidently
• Promoting good behaviour and maintaining the standards of the schools expectations
• Reporting concerns to the relevant people in school
• To liaise with Heads of year and senior team as needed
• To ensure young people are being kind towards one another
• Clean areas used to consume food and return items to kitchen area.
