Job summary

OA is recruiting a Sales Executive to join our client's growing team in Potters Bar. The role focuses on managing an allocated portfolio, handling enquiries, quotations and orders while collaborating with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse and Despatch.

You'll develop specialist knowledge of metals, alloys, strip and wire products and maintain CRM data. The position is office-based, Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, with a salary of £32,000-£35,000.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or internal sales roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for allocated customers, building strong and lasting relationships.
• Manage customer enquiries, quotations and orders from initial contact through to delivery.
• Provide accurate information on pricing, lead times, delivery and product requirements.
• Follow up quotations and identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts.
• Develop specialist knowledge of assigned metals, alloys, strip and wire products.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation and order information within the CRM.
• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse, Despatch and Finance to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Monitor orders and identify potential delays or issues at the earliest opportunity.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, taking ownership and escalating where appropriate.
• Ensure quotations and orders meet customer specifications, including material, tolerances, certification and traceability requirements.
• Follow company quality, data protection and health & safety procedures.
