Job summary

Osborne Appointments is recruiting a Sales Executive for our client, a family-owned precision metals business, to join their growing team in Potters Bar. You will act as the main contact for allocated customers, handle enquiries, quotations and orders from initial contact through delivery, and develop specialist knowledge of metals, alloys, strip and wire.

This office-based role offers Mon-Fri 9:00–17:00, with 20 days holiday rising to 25, a company pension, on-site parking and career

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or sales-adjacent roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy.
• CRM or business systems experience.
• Commercially aware and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for allocated customers, building strong and lasting relationships.
• Manage customer enquiries, quotations and orders from initial contact through to delivery.
• Provide accurate information on pricing, lead times, delivery and product requirements.
• Follow up quotations and identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts.
• Develop specialist knowledge of assigned metals, alloys, strip and wire products.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation and order information within the CRM.
• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse, Despatch and Finance to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Monitor orders and identify potential delays or issues at the earliest opportunity.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, taking ownership and escalating where appropriate.
• Ensure quotations and orders meet customer specifications, including material, tolerances, certification and traceability requirements.
• Follow company quality, data protection and health & safety procedures.
