Job summary

The MET Technician role in Reading offers a permanent position with a salary of up to £24 per hour and a bonus opportunity. A well-equipped bodyshop is seeking a qualified MET Technician to join their busy site and deliver high-quality vehicle repairs.

Key responsibilities include removing and refitting parts, dismantling and rebuilding vehicles, and reporting any unseen damage promptly. Minimum requirements are City & Guilds/NVQ level qualifications or time served, plus prior MET experience.

Qualifications

• Time served and/or qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ level.
• Have previous experience as an MET Technician.
• ATA is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Removing and refitting parts to ensure body repairs are to a very high standard.
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed.
• To report unseen damage, absent from estimate as soon as its identified.
• Have a good level of efficiency and attention to detail.
• Be able to work in a team and as an individual.

I am currently working with a highly efficient and well-equipped Bodyshop who are looking to add a qualified MET Technician totheir busy site in Reading.

Key MET Technician / Strip Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:

• Removing and refitting parts to ensure body repairs are to a very high standard
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
• To report unseen damage, absent from estimate as soon as its identified
• Have a good level of efficiency and attention to detail
• Be able to work in a team and as an individual
