Job description

Our client is seeking MEP Project Engineers for contract roles within Stansted Airport. This position will require on-site presence at Stansted three days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee contractor design and construction activities, including reviewing drawings, resolving technical queries, and ensuring safety and quality compliance.
• Manage defects, permits, and documentation, track progress and close‑out actions, and support issue escalation.
• Liaise with stakeholders and site teams to remove delivery blockers and ensure smooth execution.
• Provide technical and commercial support, advising on construction methods, early warnings, compensation events, and validation of contractor claims.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in aviation or transport projects
• Understanding of design and document control systems
• Experience in M&E Project Management and Project Engineering on industrial fit‑out projects
• Knowledge of civils and structural engineering is highly desirable
• Capability to work on-site at Stansted three days a week
