Job summary

Stantec’s Plymouth office is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join the MEP team in the Southwest. You will lead day-to-day technical delivery of mechanical design services on multi-disciplinary projects, overseeing drawings, specs and schedules.

You’ll collaborate with architects and engineers, mentor junior staff, and contribute to project invoicing and resource planning. Chartered status or active progression is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the UK delivering M&E solutions.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and tools including Revit.
• Collaborative mindset with architects and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of mechanical design services on multi-disciplinary building projects.
• Oversee production of high-quality design deliverables: specifications, drawings and schedules.
• Support project commercial success through invoicing, WIP management and workload planning.
