Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join the MEP (Building Services) team in the Southwest. The Plymouth office will be home base for delivering cutting‑edge electrical solutions across the UK, collaborating with architects and engineers on diverse projects.

You will lead technical delivery, produce high-quality design deliverables, support project commercials, and mentor junior staff, including graduates and apprentices, fostering career growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in the UK across varied building sectors.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and tools including Revit.
• Collaborative mindset, working with architects and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design on multi-disciplinary building projects.
• Oversee production of design deliverables: specifications, drawings, schedules.
• Support commercial success through invoicing, WIP management, and workload planning.
• Mentor graduates and apprentices and aid in their career development.
