Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the MEP (Building Services) team in Plymouth. You will lead the technical delivery on multi-disciplinary building projects, focusing on sustainable, high-quality electrical and mechanical design.

You will mentor graduates and apprentices, help with project delivery, workload planning, and collaborate with architects and other engineers. Chartered status or progress toward it is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the UK delivering electrical and M&E solutions across varied building sectors.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and Revit.
• Collaborative mindset with architects and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design services on multi-disciplinary building projects.
• Oversee production of design deliverables including specifications, drawings and schedules.
• Mentor junior team members, including graduates and apprentices, and support career development.
