Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the UK MEP team in the Southwest. The role focuses on delivering sustainable, innovative mechanical design across building services projects from the Plymouth base.

You will lead technical delivery, produce quality design deliverables, and support project commercial performance while mentoring graduates and apprentices.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Bachelors or Masters) in Mechanical Engineering or building services.
• Chartered status or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design services on multi-disciplinary building projects.
• Oversee the production of high-quality design deliverables, including specifications, drawings and schedules.
• Support the commercial success of projects through timely invoicing, WIP management and workload/resource planning.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their career development.
