Job summary

Stantec in Plymouth is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its MEP team. The role focuses on leading the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design services across multi-disciplinary building projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective resource planning.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with architects and other disciplines, and support project commercial success through timely invoicing and WIP management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Engineer in UK building services
• Familiarity with BIM processes and Revit
• Collaborative mindset with architects and multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design on multi-disciplinary building projects
• Oversee production of design deliverables: specifications, drawings, schedules
• Support commercial success through invoicing, WIP management and workload planning
• Mentor graduates and apprentices and contribute to their development
