Cyngor Caerdydd/Cardiff Council is seeking an Advice Mentor to provide essential support within the Housing Option Service. The role includes conducting quality audits to ensure consistent advice for clients in housing need.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with the public and the ability to cope well under pressure. This position also involves assisting officers with case load decisions, contributing significantly to the service's ambition to support vulnerable individuals effectively.
Housing Option Service provides advice and assistance under the Council’s corporate duty to help clients who are in housing need. The service provides assistance to vulnerable people when they are at greatest need.
The role of Advice Mentor sits within this Service and will undertake quality audits of cases assessed by the Homeless Assessment Teams to ensure consistent advice and support is always provided to clients.
The post holder will be required to be available to officers who will need assistance with making clear and concise decisions to aid the progress of the Homeless Assessment Officer's case load.
Experience of working with the public, in a housing related environment will be an advantage. You will need the skills to cope under pressure in a busy and challenging environment.
