Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in County Durham and Darlington is recruiting an Activity Co-ordinator/Trainee for our female adult mental health ward at Lanchester Road Hospital. The role focuses on promoting recovery through structured activities and person-centered care.

You will plan and deliver ward-based activities, help reintegrate patients into the local community, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Qualified at level 3 or above in health and/or social care or equivalent.
• Numeracy and literacy Level 2 (or equivalent).
• Level 3 qualification in health and social care if not in place already.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide activities to meet therapeutic, social and recreational needs.
• Develop and establish a timetable of activities across ward and community.
• Deliver activities using art, cookery, gardening, music and games to support wellbeing.
• Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and adapt style as needed.
