Job summary

Elysium Healthcare in Thatcham is seeking an Activities Coordinator to join the team at Thornford Park Hospital. The role involves coordinating social and recreational activities for service users, within a secure environment, across 37.5 hours weekly.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop activity programmes, build 1-1 and group rapports, and tailor activities to individual needs to support treatment plans and engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience within a Mental Health setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team-based framework.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate social and recreational activities for service users in a secure environment.
• Obtain information on service users' interests and plan activities accordingly.
• Observe behaviour and report progress in clinical notes.
• Document observations under supervision.
• Fulfil security requirements and follow policies and procedures.
• Conduct basic day-to-day risk assessments.
• Ensure health, safety, welfare and security standards.
