Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an Activity Co-ordinator to support wards with social and therapeutic activities. You will help service users regain confidence and work within the Recovery pathway, collaborating with Nursing and Occupational Therapy teams.
The role emphasises meaningful activity, social inclusion, and community re-integration, with training and Care Certificate support provided within 12 weeks where applicable.

Activity Co-ordinators hold a key role across our wards and services, providing vital care and support to our service users; providing social and therapeutic activities. Their contribution to the running of an effective service is crucial and they are a key part of the team. You may be required to undertake and successfully complete the new national Care Certificate within a 12 weeks' timeframe if you meet our criteria. You will receive full training and support and The Care Certificate sets out 15 national care standards that must be achieved by all health and social care staff to demonstrate that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide safe and excellent quality of care. It is a foundation programme which can provide the first steps to career development within the NHS. We have a strong MDT presence and as a team have an abundance of energy and expertise whilst we work in collaboration both as a team and with our colleagues from neighbouring services and service users As an integral and highly valued member of the multi-disciplinary team, the Activities Co-ordinator will provide support and practical assistance to service users in order for them to regain confidence in their skills and abilities to enable a successful re integration into the community. The Activities Co-ordinator will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others. Within a relationship of mutuality, facilitate and support information sharing to promote choice, self-determination and opportunities for the fulfilment of socially valued roles and connection to local communities. The Activities Co-ordinator will promote their role within the ward as being an integral part of the Recovery pathway.
