Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson is seeking a dedicated Activity Coordinator to support adults in secure mental health services. You will lead daily activities, plan therapies, and work within an interdisciplinary team to promote recovery.

This role offers a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm), competitive pay (£13.15/hour), a company pension and CPD opportunities, plus DBS check and research involvement.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities.
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
• Planning and implementing therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained.
• Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner.
