Job summary

Serco, on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT), is seeking a Membership Sales Advisor at Soar Valley Leisure Centre, Leicestershire. You’ll deliver excellent customer service, drive sales, process memberships and promote fitness services in a welcoming setting.

The role offers a permanent, full-time 40-hour week on a rota, with an hourly rate of £8.84 to £12.71 and excellent benefits including pension, gym access, DBS checks, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience delivering excellent customer service within a lead generation, sales, or contact centre environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Confident in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and visitors, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Consistently achieve daily and weekly sales targets and KPIs, including lead generation, appointment bookings, outbound calls, and membership sales.
• Process new memberships and manage new member enquiries.
• Build strong relationships with prospective and existing members, promoting membership products and services to maximise retention.
• Promote health and fitness services and swimming lessons, and membership upgrades.
• Handle cash transactions and follow financial procedures accurately.
• Support colleagues across the team when required.
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment in line with policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do As a Membership Sales Advisor

Does this sound like you?

• Minimum 6 months' experience delivering excellent customer service within a lead generation, sales, or contact centre environment
• Ability to maintain accurate records
• Confident in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new software quickly
• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification (desirable)
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve customer queries effectively
• A flexible mindset, able to adapt to different situations and support the wider team
