Job summary

Serco Limited in Leicestershire is recruiting a Membership Sales Advisor to deliver excellent customer service at Soar Valley Leisure Centre, promote memberships, and hit sales KPIs. You will process sign-ups, manage enquiries, and support a friendly team in a busy leisure environment.

The role includes cash handling, promoting swimming lessons, and upselling services, with a focus on member retention and customer satisfaction in a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience delivering excellent customer service within a lead generation, sales, or contact centre environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and handle data.
• Confident in IT systems and Microsoft Office; quick to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and visitors, face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Consistently achieve daily and weekly sales targets and KPIs, including lead generation, appointment bookings, outbound calls, and membership sales.
• Process new memberships and manage new member enquiries.
• Build strong relationships with prospective and existing members, promoting membership products and services to maximise retention.
• Promote health and fitness services and swimming lessons, and membership upgrades.
• Handle cash transactions and follow financial procedures accurately.
• Support colleagues across the team when required; maintain a safe and compliant environment.

What you’ll do as a Membership Sales Advisor

Does this sound like you?

• Minimum 6 months' experience delivering excellent customer service within a lead generation, sales, or contact centre environment
• Ability to maintain accurate records
• Confident in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new software quickly
• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification (desirable)
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve customer queries effectively
• A flexible mindset, able to adapt to different situations and support the wider team
