Job summary

Serco Leisure is recruiting a Membership Sales Advisor on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT) in Leicestershire. You will be the first point of contact, delivering friendly service and guiding customers to the facilities they need.

Role focuses on membership sales, lead generation, and customer care while promoting health services and programmes. A welcoming, multitasking team player thrives in a busy leisure centre environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience delivering customer service in sales/lead gen or contact centre.
• Able to maintain accurate records.
• Confident with IT systems and MS Office; quick learner.
• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification (desirable).
• Stay calm under pressure; resolve queries effectively.
• Flexible mindset to adapt and support team.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and visitors, face-to-face and over the phone.
• Consistently achieve daily and weekly sales targets and KPIs, including lead gen, bookings, outbound calls, and memberships.
• Process new memberships and manage member enquiries.
• Build relationships with prospective and existing members to maximise retention.
• Promote health and fitness services and swimming lessons, and upgrades.
• Handle cash transactions and follow financial procedures accurately.
• Support colleagues across the team when required.
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment per policies.

Hourly Rate: £8.84 to 12.71 per hour plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Permanent, Full-time 40 hours per week (rota basis)

Through excellent customer care and professional support, you'll play an important role in delivering a positive impact on communities and helping more people enjoy active, healthy lifestyles.

What You’ll Do As a Membership Sales Advisor

• Provide excellent customer service to members and visitors, both face-to-face and over the telephone
• Consistently achieve daily and weekly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), including lead generation, appointment bookings, outbound calls, and membership sales
• Process new memberships and manage new member enquiries
• Build strong relationships with prospective and existing members, promoting membership products and services to maximise retention
• Promote health and fitness services and swimming lessons, and membership upgrades
• Handle cash transactions and follow financial procedures accurately
• Support colleagues across the team when required
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment in line with policies and procedures

Does this sound like you?

• Minimum 6 months' experience delivering excellent customer service within a lead generation, sales, or contact centre environment
• Ability to maintain accurate records
• Confident in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new software quickly
• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification (desirable)
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve customer queries effectively
• A flexible mindset, able to adapt to different situations and support the wider team
