Job summary

Perth & Scone Medical Group in Perth, Scotland is seeking a friendly receptionist to join the practice team on a permanent, part-time basis. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, welcoming them and assisting across two sites (Taymount Surgery, Perth and Scone Surgery, Scone) within 7.45am–6.00pm, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Training in practice systems will be provided; previous General Practice experience is not mandatory, though advantageous, and you must

Job description

Due to team expansion, we are currently looking for a friendly, reliable and professional receptionist to join our practice team at Perth & Scone Medical Group. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in welcoming patients and visitors into the practice and making them feel at ease.

You will be expected to be able to work variable shifts over both of our surgery sites which are Taymount Surgery in Perth and Scone Surgery in the village of Scone, during the surgery opening hours of 7.45am – 6.00pm.

Contracted hours will be 25 per week, over 5 days (Monday - Friday).

There is a requirement for you to be flexible in your ability to work additional hours on occasion and to cover annual leave or other planned & unplanned staff absence.

You should possess excellent IT skills as well as being an effective communicator and team player at all times. The successful candidate should have previous experience of working in a fast paced, pressured environment.

Previous General Practice experience is not mandatory as full training in practice systems will be provided, although previous experience in a medical environment or a customer focused role would be advantageous for this post.
