A local medical practice in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Medical Receptionist to manage patient interactions and provide administrative support to the medical team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in a patient-facing role, and a strong understanding of confidentiality. This fast-paced environment requires someone who can work well within a team, handle appointments, and assist patients with inquiries.
This is a fast paced role in a constantly busy environment. You will work as part of a large team under the guidance of a Lead Receptionist. Our reception team manage many day to day tasks to give admin support to our clinical team and management.
We are agrowing practice with a population of 11,400 patients working across two sitesthe main site being a purpose built practice in Fenton, and a branch site inLongton, Stoke on Trent.
We have 8 GP's, 6 nurse's and a large admin/reception team.
Responsibilities
Themedical receptionist should be able to have:
Excellentcommunication skills are essential in order to communicate with patients and thewider team
Understandthe importance of confidentiality within the Practice.
Understandthe use the information technology equipment in the Practice.
Liaisewith hospitals and other outside organizations in order to provide service forthe patients in a professional manner.
Workunder the guidance of others and also using own initiative.
