Job summary

A leading project based company in London is seeking a Water Treatment Engineer to manage onsite maintenance and reactive works. You will perform PPM, fault analysis, and general maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. The ideal candidate should have an Electrical/Mechanical qualification and experience in a customer-facing role. This position offers engaging work within a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds is required.
  • Experience with BMS and multi-skilling capability needed.
  • Understanding of statutory compliance in HVAC and Water Treatment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct PPM and planned maintenance tasks.
  • Perform fault finding and general maintenance on systems.
  • Manage subcontractors for legionella management.

Overview

Within our Building Services Division we have a huge contract with the UK Government to deliver Hard Services on site at MoD Main Building. This key role in the engineering and maintenance team will see you work with a talented team of Engineers and Technicians - ensuring onsite maintenance, reactive works and fault analysis is conducted within the terms of the contract. We are looking for a Water Treatment Engineer to join Building Services team at MOD Whitehall, London.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct PPM and planned maintenance, response, and fault analysis
  • Carry out fault finding and plant adjustments, check and inspect electrical/mechanical services, plant, and systems, and complete maintenance tasks in accordance with contract specification
  • Temperature checks and monitoring, Water Sampling – to include Cooling Towers and systems, TMV Servicing, Shower clean and disinfection, Tank inspections, Following a preventative maintenance program as instructed, Successful completion of reactive tasks resulting from Water treatment management, Providing same-day service reports as required, Cooling tower maintenance, Logbook maintenance, Subcontractor management for legionella management
  • Carry out general duties which require multi skilled discipline, including chillers, AHU’s along with cleaning of foul water systems, drains, inspections, and repair of all Mechanical systems such as extract and supply air ductwork systems, plumbing and heating systems
What you’ll bring to the role
  • Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or ’A’ and ’B or equivalent
  • BMS experience and multi-skilling capability
  • Demonstrate understanding of statutory compliance HVAC and Water Treatment
  • Health & Safety IOSH Working Safely qualification or similar
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in a customer facing role
