Thames Water is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our Ashford Common site (TW15 1RU). You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment, ensuring the site remains operational with minimal supervision.

You will work on pumps, assist with water transfer, investigate faults quickly, and provide technical advice to the team. A time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in mechanical engineering is required, with

• Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in mechanical engineering.
• Problem-solving ability and capable of fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external staff.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical plant.
• Work on pumps and mechanical equipment to support water transfer and distribution.
• Investigate failures and carry out repairs quickly to avoid customer disruption.
• Provide technical advice to the team and support trainees if required.
• Participate in a 24/7 standby rota after training.
