Job summary

Thames Water seeks an experienced Electrical Technician to join the Maintenance team in the Wastewater Division at Earlswood - Redhill site. You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical and electrical equipment to keep sites operational.

This role requires a time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering, with 18th Edition preferred. A full UK driving licence is essential, and you will work 38 hours per week (Mon-Fri 07:30–15:36)

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering.
• 18th Edition preferred; training can be given.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-diagnosis abilities.
• Good communicator with internal/ external staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs quickly to avoid process interruptions.
• Diagnose complex faults and perform repairs during incidents.
• Provide technical advice and training/support for technical trainees.
• Work on equipment including motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, control gear, VSDs, PLCs, valves, sensors, and dosing equipment.
