Job summary

Galliford Try seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead mechanical works from concept to completion on water treatment schemes. Based in Bournemouth or Dorchester, you will travel regionally with the Environment team.

You will oversee pumping stations, dosing systems and related civil works, reporting to the Project/Delivery Manager and collaborating with planners, designers and client teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification relevant to the discipline.
• Experience in national multi-site or water industry is desirable.
• On-site safety and compliance awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular programme updates with planners.
• Review and support engineering designs.
• Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with commercial teams and attend client meetings.
• Support consistent delivery across project activities.
