Job summary

Galliford Try in Bournemouth/Dorchester is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to manage on-site mechanical works for water industry projects, including pumping stations and dosing systems. Based in the South West, you will support delivery within the Environment business and collaborate with the wider team to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will review designs, manage procurement, and coordinate with planners and clients, with travel to various sites across the region.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification in the chosen discipline.
• Experience in national/multi-site business or water industry is desirable.
• Willingness to travel to sites across the region.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical works from concept to completion.
• Provide regular programme updates with Planners.
• Review and support development of engineering designs.
• Conduct on-site inspections and manage material procurement.
• Coordinate with commercial teams and attend client meetings.
• Ensure consistent delivery and quality across the project.
