Job summary

Galliford Try Group in Plymouth is seeking a Civil Design Engineer - Environment to join the Engineering Design Team. You will contribute to high-quality design delivery in the water and wastewater sector, collaborating with Design Managers and Leads to ensure compliance with BMS and H&S regulations.

You will support governance, integration with other disciplines, and provide technical input to supply chain activities while helping develop graduate engineers and potentially progress towards ICE

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification at HNC or degree level.
• Working knowledge of The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and CDM 2015.
• Basic knowledge of sub-contract processes – contract and commercial.
• Awareness of project management concepts such as programming and cash flow.
• Willingness to pursue membership of a professional institution (e.g., ICE).
• Experience in Infra or Non-Infra Civil Design; water sector experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design to GT process standards in water/wastewater projects.
• Ensure governance requirements and integrate with other disciplines.
• Provide technical support to supply chain procurement and site activities.
• Support the development of graduate/assistant engineers.
