Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer - Environment to own the production of mechanical design in compliance with the Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations, assisting with the wider PMEICA and Civils design production activities, and providing technical support to procurement and site teams.

You will also help manage Consultants and Sub-contractors design production, while working within our flexible, Agile Working framework across the UK.

Qualifications

• Have the necessary qualifications in a recognised relevant Subject to HNC / Degree Level.
• Gain working knowledge of The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and CDM 2015.
• Gain a basic knowledge of sub-contract processes – contract and commercial.
• Basic appreciation and use knowledge of project management – programming, cash flow analysis, resource planning etc.
• Willingness to work towards membership of relevant professional institution (e.g. IMechE).
• Water Industry experience (Desired).
• Process Industry experience (essential).

Responsibilities

• Produce Mechanical Design in compliance with BMS and CDM regulations.
• Assist with PMEICA and Civils design production activities.
• Provide technical support to supply chain procurement activities and site activities as required.
• Assist with the management of Consultants and Sub-contractors design production.
