Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead environment-focused projects in Dorset on the Wessex Water Framework. You will oversee Mechanical, Electrical and Civil installations, manage subcontractors and ensure safe delivery on time and within budget.

The role requires strong safety leadership, a track record in water/wastewater environments and excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams. Competitive salary and agile working options are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in water/wastewater environments, with site-based Mechanical, Electrical or Civil works.
• Proven leadership of teams and subcontractors on construction projects.
• Relevant safety qualifications completed and up to date.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control daily site activities, ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Lead site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote a positive safety culture.
• Ensure completion of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and installation programmes.
• Monitor site costs and ensure alignment with budgets.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Attend site visits and progress meetings with clear reporting.
• Support culture of health, safety and environmental excellence.
