Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale environment projects in Bournemouth. You will drive programme delivery, profitability and safety across multiple wastewater schemes within the Wessex Water AMP8 framework.

You will manage staff, interface with clients, ensure NEC contract compliance, and oversee RAMS, procurement and commercial performance while guiding a high-performance team.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large water/utility projects.
• Knowledge of NEC contract conditions.
• Ability to manage multiple schemes to KPI/PI targets.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proven track record in safety, environment and CDM compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery including programme, budget, health & safety, and environmental performance.
• Manage staff and mentor junior team members; recruit where needed.
• Interface with client representatives; maintain professional relationships.
• Develop and manage project RAMS, risk assessments and environmental compliance.
• Prepare and control project procurement, RAMS and subcontractor management.
• Drive pre-construction tender input and resource allocation.
• Produce regular performance reports for steering and commercial teams.
