Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a heavy industrial setting in Dudley. The role covers reactive and preventative maintenance on steel processing machinery, with a shift pattern and overtime opportunities. Training and progression are highlighted, along with a healthcare scheme.

You will work with Electrical Maintenance Engineers and liaise across departments to ensure smooth factory operations, in a 3-shift cycle with late-night allowances.

Formación

• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician or Engineer.
• Hands-on knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Willingness to commute to Dudley factory.

£34,000 – £36,000 OTE (£45k) + Training + Progression + Health Care Scheme + Overtime + Shift Schedule

In this role, you will be responsible for both the reactive and preventative maintenance for plant/steel processing machinery. On top of this, you will be responsible for cross-departmental liaison to ensure the smooth running of the factory, working closely with Electrical Maintenance Engineers. This role works on a 3 shift pattern – 1st week (6am-2pm), 2nd week (2pm-12am), 3rd week (8pm-6am) with shift allowance for late night shifts

This role would suit a Mechanical Maintenance fitter / Technician with experience in hydraulics and pneumatics looking to upskill with the UK’s leading steel processor.

The Role:

• Reactive and preventative maintenance for plant/steel processing machinery
• Service and repair, as well as troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Cross-departmental liaison to ensure the smooth running of the factory
• 1st week Mon-Fri (6am-2pm), 2nd week Mon-Thurs (2pm-12am), 3rd week (Mon-Thurs 8pm-6am
• Plenty of overtime available (1.3x pay during week. 1.5x Saturday and 2x Sunday)

The Person:

• Mechanical Fitter / Technician / Engineer or similar
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Willing to commute to factory in Dudley
