Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Fitter in Dudley to join a leading steel processing specialist. You will perform reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical systems within plant/steel processing machinery and liaise cross-departmentally to keep the factory running smoothly.

Electrical Maintenance Fitter (Industrial Machinery)

Are you an Electrical Fitter, Technician or similar looking to join the UK’s leading independent steel processing specialist offering full on the job training to upskill into heavy industrial machinery where no two days will be the same?

In this role, you will be responsible for both the reactive and preventative maintenance for the electrical systems within plant/steel processing machinery. You will also be responsible for cross-departmental liaison to ensure the smooth running of the factory. This role works on a 3-shift pattern – 1st week (6am-2pm), 2nd week (2pm-12am), 3rd week (8pm-6am) with shift allowance for late night shifts.

This role would suit an Electrical Maintenance fitter / Technician looking to upskill with the UK’s leading steel processor.

The Role:

• Reactive and preventative maintenance for electrical systems within plant/steel processing machinery
• Service and repair, as well as troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Cross-departmental liaison to ensure the smooth running of the factory
• 1st week Mon-Fri (6am-2pm), 2nd week Mon-Thurs (2pm-12am), 3rd week (Mon-Thurs 8pm-6am)
• Plenty of overtime available (1.3x pay during week. 1.5x Saturday and 2x Sunday)

The Person:

• Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar
• Wanting to upskill into heavy industrial machinery
• Willing to commute to Dudley
