Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a leading steel processing specialist in Dudley. This role offers hands-on industrial training while contributing to reactive and preventative maintenance of electrical systems on heavy machinery.

You will work a 3‑shift pattern with overtime available, earn £35k–£40k, and receive healthcare and a company bonus as part of your benefits. Training and progression opportunities are highlighted throughout.

Qualifications

• Willing to work a 3-shift pattern (6am–2pm / 2pm–12am / 8pm–6am) and overtime.
• Willing to commute to Dudley.

In this role, you will be responsible for both the reactive and preventative maintenance for the electrical systems within plant/steel processing machinery. You will also be responsible for cross‑departmental liaison to ensure the smooth running of the factory. This role works on a 3‑shift pattern – 1st week (6am‑2pm), 2nd week (2pm‑12am), 3rd week (8pm‑6am) with shift allowance for late night shifts.

This role would suit an Electrical Maintenance fitter / Technician looking to upskill with the UK’s leading steel processor.

The Role:

• Reactive and preventative maintenance for electrical systems within plant/steel processing machinery
• Service and repair, as well as troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Cross‑departmental liaison to ensure the smooth running of the factory
• 1st week Mon‑Fri (6am‑2pm), 2nd week Mon‑Thurs (2pm‑12am), 3rd week (Mon‑Thurs 8pm‑6am
• Plenty of overtime available (1.3x pay during week. 1.5x Saturday and 2x Sunday)

The Person:

• Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar
• Wanting to upskill into heavy industrial machinery
• Willing to commute to Dudley
