Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) in Manchester to perform planned and reactive maintenance on pumps, gear boxes, motors, bearings and heat exchangers. The role includes safety inspections and participation in plant shutdowns within a globally renowned company.

The successful candidate will join a small team, enjoy a flexible shift pattern with overtime paid at 0.5x, and have access to in-house training and progression opportunities toward management.

Qualifications

• Maintenance on pumps, gear boxes, motors, bearings and heat exchangers.
• Safety inspections of plant machinery to ensure safe operation.
• Emphasis on progression and training within a global company.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small team on reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain pumps, gear boxes, motors, bearings and heat exchangers.
• Conduct inspections to ensure plant machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Participate in plant safety programs and shutdowns.
• Work pattern: Week 1 7am-3pm; Week 2 10am-6pm; 37.5 hours weekly.
• Overtime available at 0.5x.
