Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Junior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) in Ipswich to join a long-standing engineering team. You will carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on motors, pumps and gearboxes, splitting time between the workshop and customer sites with regular overtime opportunities.

The role offers training and progression in a family-run business with over 100 years of engineering experience, and includes an on-site parking facility.

Qualifications

• Experience as a junior maintenance engineer or similar.
• UK Driving Licence required.
• Able to commute to Ipswich.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, rewind, repair and test motors, pumps and gearboxes.
• Work in the workshop and travel to sites for installations/removals.
• On-call rota 1-in-7 for emergency work and overtime.
