Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is hiring a Junior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Preston. You will be joining a family-owned manufacturing business, receiving hands-on training on FMCG machinery and supporting production by keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

The role involves diagnosing breakdowns, performing repairs, routine inspections, PPMs, CMMS record-keeping, stock management, welding and fabrication, and close collaboration with production teams to minimise

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical or electrical knowledge; FMCG background preferred.
• Training provided; uncapped overtime at enhanced rates.
• Long-term career stability in a family-owned manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose breakdowns and carry out repairs to minimise machine downtime.
• Routine inspections, PPMs, CMMS records, stock management, welding and fabrication.
• Mon-Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with uncapped enhanced overtime.
