Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) in Manchester to perform planned and reactive maintenance on pumps, gear boxes, motors, bearings and heat exchangers. The role includes safety inspections and participation in plant shutdowns within a globally renowned company.

The successful candidate will join a small team, enjoy a flexible shift pattern with overtime paid at 0.5x, and have access to in-house training and progression opportunities toward management.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be performing planned and reactive maintenance on a range of machinery, working on bearings, motors, gear boxes, pumps and heat exchangers. You will also be responsible for safety inspections of the plants machinery to ensure it is safe and operating efficiently.

The Role:

• Work in a small team of 8 on reactive and preventative maintenance and resolve equipment failures
• Maintenance of pumps, gear boxes, motors, bearings and heat exchangers
• Conduct inspections of various plant machinery to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently
• Participate in plant safety programs and shutdowns
• Week 1: Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm and Week 2: 10am-6pm, 37.5 hrs, rotating weekly
• Overtime available at 0.5x
