Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Junior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Preston. The role offers training and uncapped overtime with enhanced rates, supporting production by keeping machinery running safely and reliably.

You will diagnose breakdowns, perform repairs, and complete routine inspections and CMMS entries, while managing spare parts and collaborating with production teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical or electrical knowledge.
• Background in FMCG manufacturing.
• City & Guilds or Level 3 Engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose breakdowns and carry out repairs to minimise machine downtime.
• Carry out routine inspections, PPMs and maintain CMMS records.
• Stock management of components and fittings; welding and fabrication as required.
• Work with production teams to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement.
