Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to maintain and repair mechanical building-services across a commercial environment. You will work with the Site Supervisor to ensure safety, compliance and operational performance, including out-of-hours on-call support.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical systems, a relevant qualification, and a flexible, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Engineer in commercial buildings.
• Qualified in mechanical/building services (City & Guilds/NVQ).
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
• Familiar with pumps, HVAC, and water systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to mechanical systems.
• Inspect and service pumps, motors, valves, pipework, heating and ventilation equipment.
• Respond to faults and complete repairs or component replacements.
• Complete maintenance records and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Assist with risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work procedures.
• Support on-call rota and respond to out-of-hours maintenance issues.
