Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is advertising a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role for a leading UK manufacturer on a state-of-the-art automated site in Desford. You will maintain high‑speed machinery and perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a 4 on 4 off days and nights schedule.

The ideal candidate has mechanical qualifications with electrical skills, experience in FMCG or heavy industry, and fault‑finding on Siemens S7 PLCs.

Qualifications

• Mechanical qualifications with strong electrical skills.
• Experience in FMCG or heavy industrial environments.
• Confident in fault-finding on Siemens PLCs and control panels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a high-output, automated environment.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens S7
• Knowledge of large-scale automated machinery.
• Previous work in dusty or challenging production settings.
• Adaptability to work within a large, collaborative engineering team.

Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at a state-of-the-art automated site, you'll be responsible for maintaining high-speed machinery in a fast-paced, environment. Working within a large team on a 4 on 4 off shift (days & nights), you'll carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance of automated equipment
• Fault-finding on Siemens S7 PLC systems and control panels
• Supporting efficient production through timely maintenance and issue resolution
