Job summary

MorePeople is supporting a leading fresh food manufacturer to recruit a Maintenance / Mechanical Engineer to join the site engineering team at their production facility.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on production and packing lines, diagnose mechanical faults, support PPM schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement, working 12-hour rotating shifts in a fast-paced, hygiene-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance experience within FMCG/food/manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production and packing lines.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Supporting PPM schedules and equipment reliability.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment to strict hygiene and safety standards.
• Liaising with production teams to keep lines running efficiently.
