Job summary

Synergi Recruitment seeks an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a busy, heavy industrial FMCG site near Hoveringham, Nottingham. You will maintain electrical and mechanical systems on older plant to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires strong multi-skilled capability, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Ongoing training and permanent employment with a leading UK manufacturer are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering; time-served apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in heavy industry or FMCG environments is ideal.
• Confident with PLC fault-finding across brands.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Work on older plant and equipment including pumps, hydraulics, gearboxes, valves and generators.
• Perform PLC diagnostics and fault-finding.
• Support planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy, heavy industrial FMCG site. This is a hands-on role where you'll maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems to keep production running smoothly, often working with older machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Work on older plant and equipment, including pumps, hydraulics, gearboxes, valves, and generators.
• Perform PLC diagnostics and fault-finding.
• Support planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Strong multi-skilled electrical and mechanical experience.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering; time-served apprenticeship preferred.
