Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is recruiting for a Mechanical Inspector in Woking to join a market-leading precision engineering company. You will inspect incoming goods, in-process and final assemblies using CMM and conventional equipment, ensuring components meet exacting quality standards.

You will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain, producing FAIRs and contributing to continuous improvement, with strong training and clear long-term progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical inspection within manufacturing or precision engineering.
• Experience using CMM equipment, including programming and operation.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Carry out incoming, in-process and final inspection of precision machined components and assemblies.
• Operate and program CMM equipment alongside conventional inspection gear.
• Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and maintain inspection records.
• Support supplier quality activities, non-conformance investigations and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain to uphold high quality standards.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Inspector looking to join a market-leading precision engineering company where you can work with advanced inspection equipment while contributing to the manufacture of world-class products?

This company specialise in the design and manufacture of precision optical and engineering products, supplying leading organisations across a wide range of industries worldwide. Due to continued growth they are now looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join their Quality team.

In this role you will be responsible for carrying out inspection activities throughout the manufacturing process, including incoming goods, in-process, first-off, first article and final inspections. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain teams, you will ensure components meet the highest quality standards whilst supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

THE ROLE:

• Carrying out incoming, in-process and final inspection of precision machined components and assemblies

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
