White-Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join a Bristol-based precision engineering business. You will inspect components against drawings and specifications, carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection, and ensure documentation meets quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Quality Inspector in a precision engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components.
  • Competent using a range of manual inspection equipment.
  • Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
  • Ability to identify issues and work with production teams to resolve them.
  • Good understanding of quality procedures and documentation.
  • Experience within aerospace, defence or another high-precision manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

  • Using more advanced inspection equipment where required.
  • Identifying and reporting non-conforming parts.
  • Completing inspection reports and maintaining accurate quality records.
  • Supporting FAIR and other quality documentation.
  • Working closely with CNC machinists and the wider production team to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality standards and tolerances.
  • Supporting continuous improvement across the manufacturing and inspection processes.

Salary: Up to £43,000 depending on experience

My client is a well-established precision engineering business based in Bristol, supplying high-quality components into demanding industries where accuracy and quality are critical.

They are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team, working within a busy manufacturing environment and ensuring components meet the required drawings, specifications and quality standards.

The role will involve inspecting precision-machined components throughout the manufacturing process, carrying out final inspection and completing the necessary quality documentation.

Responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision-engineered components
  • Inspecting components against engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements
  • Using a range of conventional inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and height gauges
