Job summary

HVAC Recruitment is seeking a Shift Mechanical Engineer for a premier facilities management assignment on a high-profile commercial site. You will handle planned and reactive maintenance, focusing on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and related HVAC systems.

The role requires proactive teamwork within a modern, technically challenging environment. Experience in commercial building services, NVQ/City & Guilds, and strong fault-finding abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• PPMs experience and planned maintenance background.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical plant systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
• Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and fault finding.
• Maintain mechanical plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, pressurisation units, HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Support wider building services with a multi-skilled team.
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety and industry standards.
• Update maintenance records in CAFM systems.

Shift Mechanical Engineer

Salary: Up to £43,000 + Benefits

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider on a prestigious, high-profile commercial site.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern and technically challenging environment, supporting the maintenance and operation of critical building services systems within an iconic venue.

The Role:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
• Responding to reactive maintenance tasks and fault finding
• Maintaining mechanical plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, pressurisation units, HVAC systems and associated equipment
• Supporting wider building services systems alongside a multi-skilled engineering team
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards
• Updating maintenance records through CAFM systems

What We're Looking For:

• Mechanical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Experience working within commercial building services environments
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills
• Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical plant systems
• A proactive approach and ability to work effectively within a shift team
